At ReSpo.Vision, we're harnessing the power of Unreal Engine 5 to create an unparalleled virtual experience. Our system uses advanced markerless optical tracking to collect motion data from football matches, enabling us to recreate iconic games in a hyper-realistic 3D environment. This isn't just about watching football; it's about being completely immersed in it, with the freedom to explore every angle and action through an unlimited camera perspective.

This project is your opportunity to contribute to a ground-breaking Proof of Concept: bringing to life famous goals from UEFA Euro Championships. Success here leads to the chance to shape the future of sports entertainment as we move towards commercialization in mid-2024.

For this project, we’re looking for an experienced Technical Artist, that will help us enhance the quality of our renders in Unreal Engine, to bring is as close to photorealism as possible - including lightning, rendering, and material settings.

It is a ~month-long commitment on a PoC project - recreating famous goals from previous editions of UEFA Euro Championship. Once the product hits the commercialization phase (June-July 2024), there will be also opportunity for a long-term role.

Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Collaborate with the development team to enhance the visual quality of renders captured within Unreal Engine, on existing teams
  • Optimize lighting, rendering, and material settings to achieve photorealistic results
  • Utilize and leverage the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5, including Nanite, Metahuman, and Lumen technologies
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development team, ensuring the effective implementation of visual enhancements
  • Utilize knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 console commands to setup the scene settings for optimal render results

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming or rendering industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing photorealistic projects
  • In-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, including proficiency in lighting, rendering, material setup, and engine configuration
  • Expertise in utilizing Nanite, Metahuman, and Lumen technologies to achieve cutting-edge visuals
  • Solid understanding of render movie pipelines and optimization techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to find creative solutions to technical challenges
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment

Preferred

  • Experience working on sports-related projects, particularly football/soccer
  • Familiarity with real-time rendering techniques and optimizations
  • Experience with motion capture and animation integration
  • Passion for pushing the boundaries of photorealism in real-time rendering

What we offer

  • Salary: 15,000 - 25,000 PLN / month, depending on experience (please include your salary expectations in the application)
  • Type of cooperation: B2B / Umowa Zlecenie, hourly billing or a predetermined flat project fee Remote work or from the office in downtown Warsaw
  • Commitment: full-time for the duration of the project (about 1 month), then the possibility of long-term cooperation after a successful prototype phase and commercialization of the project
